The very first rain of the year finds one of us out searching for worms while two of us look on from inside, watching the rain slide down the windows and the robins drinking water from the cupped leaves.  A friend has dropped off apples to be made into jelly and the house smells like late summer.
And then, because its April and that's what happens here, the rain turns to yet another spring snowstorm.   But I have flowers blooming in my garden, and two boys happily discussing worms and bugs and frogs and all good things.  And I must say once again, over and over, that life is so very good.
