Easier said then done
Some days
Laying out for life to soak you with its sunshine
(or drench you with pelting hailstorms...)

I know, I know,
I know it all serves its purpose,
is all good in the grand scheme of things

Some days
I alternate between stomping my foot,
and succumbing to the exhaustion of it all
Great giant swings of emotional messiness
(tucked neatly away behind smiling eyes)

Life sometimes,
is easier said than done.

Life kinda feels like a big blank canvas at the moment.
With a bad case of writers block.

The very first rain of the year finds one of us out searching for worms while two of us look on from inside, watching the rain slide down the windows and the robins drinking water from the cupped leaves.  A friend has dropped off apples to be made into jelly and the house smells like late summer.
And then, because its April and that's what happens here, the rain turns to yet another spring snowstorm.   But I have flowers blooming in my garden, and two boys happily discussing worms and bugs and frogs and all good things.  And I must say once again, over and over, that life is so very good.

Queen of this land.
In all the good ways a queen can be.
A rubber boot wearing,
dirt under her fingernails,
absolutely in love with her people,
draped with garlands of northern lights and blue flax,
kinda Queen.

I belong here.
I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
I am not on the cusp of something great
(as I thought, as recent as a day ago)
I am right in the middle of a beautiful life.
The winds may blow my dress as fiercely as they wish.
It will only assist in spreading my kisses to the masses.

Rubber Boots and a Red Dress

This is me today. Rubber boots and a red dress.  A vastness of possibilities and sheer joy stretched out before me.  How could you not jump on a day that graces you with the first blue flash of the spring bluebirds, or the thumping of grouse from the bush?  I would be a fool not to.  The sexiness of spring is thick in the air.

Small and Large

What I feel amidst the trees
Both small and large
The vastness of life
One breath in equal to the exhale of a leaf
